HOW TO MAKE LIPSTICK
To save money, and also to avoid toxic chemical used in commercially produced lipstick, you can make your own lipstick at home.
Most lipsticks sold in the market place or cosmetics shops are produced using toxic chemicals which can be harmful to the skin.
Lipstick is a cosmetic that adds color, texture and protection to your lips. There are many colors and types of lipsticks. Some lipsticks are also lip balm, which can increase color and moisture.
For the production of lipstick, the ingredients needed are listed below:
INGREDIENTS NEEDED
2 table spoon Cetyl Alcohol
2 table spoon Stearic Acid
2 table spoon Bee Wax
1 table spoon Castor Oil
1 tea spoon Citric Acid
1 table spoon Proplylene Glycol
1 table spoon Lanolin
1 table spoon Colourant
1 tea spoon Paraben
Old lip tube or silicone lips stick mold
PROCEDURE
• Melt the Cetyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Bee Wax, Citric acid and Castor Oil in a double boiler on low heat until melted.
• Add Proplylene Glycol and Lanolin Stir well till it's well combined, then remove from heat
•Add the colorant and paraben mix well.
• Pour in the empty lipstick tube or silicone lips stick mold
• Put in the freezer or a cold place for 30 minutes.
• Remove from mold and use.
This lipstick can be stored and used for a year.
