Liquid soap is soap in liquid form generally used to get rid of contaminations and impurities. It is used by many households, offices, schools, hospitals and individual businesses for washing of clothes, dishes, toilets, for mopping, as well as bathing.
Liquid soap making is rampant all over the world, here in Nigeria many people are into the business of soap making, to tell you the truth, it is a very profitable business, that requires low starting capital.
Making Liquid soap is quite easy if measurements are taken correctly, it will lather well.
MATERIALS NEEDED IN MAKING LIQUID SOAP
. 125 gram Nitrosol
. 250 gram Soda Ash
. 300ml Sulfonic acid
. 100 gram Sodium Laurel sulfate (SLS)
. 2 table spoon Caustic soda
. 500ml Foaming booster
. 50 gram Sodium Tripolyphosphate
. 1 table spoon colorant
. 30ml Fragrance
. 20ml preservative
You will also need a plastic bucket, gloves and stiring stick.
PROCEDURE:
. Put on the gloves to protect the hands because most of the ingredients are chemical based.
. Measure 4 liters of water and pour into the plastic bucket.
. In another bowl, measure 3 litres of water, pour the Nitrosol, stir till it disolve, then pour into the 4 liters of water.
. Next use a separate bowl, measure 2 liters of water, dissolve Soda Ash same Nitrosol was dissolved then pour into the mix, stir well till it's well combined
. Add Sulfonic acid into the mix, you will notice bubbles coming up, leave to sit for 5 minutes, then begin to stir very well, till the bubbles combine and the mix become a bit thick.
. use 1 litre of water to dissolve, Sodium Laurel sulfate in a separate bowl, stir till it's dissolved then pour into the mix, keep stirring till it blends well
. In another seperate bowl, measure out 100ml of water, pour in the Caustic soda, stir well till it dissolve, then pour into the mix and stir well.
. Next pour the foaming booster and stir well
. In another seperate bowl dissolve Sodium Tripolyphosphate using 250ml of water and add it to the mix stir well
. Use 10ml of water to dissolve colorant, add onto the mix, and Stir till it's combined.
. Add the preservative stir well.
. Lastly, add fragrance, Stir very well.
Liquid soap is ready,
Tip: Allow it to sit for 24 hours before using or packaging it for sale.
